“If the education and advocacy efforts are not enough to convince someone to join, the myriad of other benefits FACC offers certainly will be. Thanks to FACC, I have been able to develop my leadership skills and even represent the community college profession that I love. I owe a great deal to the association and its members.” - Adriene Jefferson, Indian River Community College
“Whenever someone new to the profession asks me for my advice on how to succeed, I tell them to join FACC. Personally and professionally, my involvement with the association has been an important part of my life. I would recommend membership to anyone who works for a community college or has an interest in this dynamic field.” - Karen Pickles, North Florida Community College
“I attribute much of the success I’ve had in my career to my membership in the Florida Association of Community Colleges. The contacts I’ve made have been invaluable. The learning that takes place at my chapter meetings and at regional and national meetings is extraordinary. I will be a lifelong member!” - Brandi Lynn Opager, Pensacola Junior College
“FACC has given me the chance to grow professionally and I will forever be grateful. I began my career at a community college without the tools and contacts I needed to accomplish my long-term goals. FACC provided the leadership opportunities to actively get involved in the Florida community college system!” - Dennis Storck, Gulf Coast Community College
“The FACC Annual Convention always is a special time for me. Renewing acquaintances and making new ones is a wonderful experience. However, it is the sharing of information and the new ideas I get every time I attend that make the gathering so vital for me.” - Melanie Morgan-Jackson, South Florida Community College
“I have met some genuine and dedicated people around the 'great 28’. FACC allows me to continuously achieve my personal and professional goals. I have developed relationships and have established a great rapport with some of the college presidents and our local legislators. My involvement and dedication to the best organization in the state of Florida is why I am part of the great ’28.”- Renee Maples, TCC FACC Member
“Being a member of TCCs Chapter of FACC provides me with the ability to get involved and provide support to help with the promotion of the mission of the Florida Association of Community Colleges. The Annual Convention provides skills and professional development that will not only lead to growth in your immediate position but in the institution as a whole. The convention allows an opportunity for your peers to evaluate and appreciate your role and efforts that you put forth at your institution and allows for recognition of these efforts.”- Shannon T. Young, TCC FACC Member
"I have been an FACC member for over half my life (33+ years). During this time I have seen our organization grow and become the preeminent voice for Community Colleges and their employees. Ours is a voice that is both influential and respected both at the local and State levels. We do make a difference!" - Bob Wilcosky, MDC FACC Member
“FACC is the only organization that represents ALL community college employees.”- Laurie Ragsdale, HCC FACC Member
“Meetings, conferences, and committees at both the local and state levels provide a wonderful opportunity to make new contacts, develop lasting friendships, and provide insight and knowledge as to how the Florida Community College system directly impacts me and my school.” - Adam C. Martin, South Florida Community College
