Florida Association of Community Colleges Foundation, Inc.

The Florida Association of Community Colleges Foundation, Inc. is a not for profit corporation which was formed on June 4, 1991.  The general nature of the objectives and purposes of the FACC Foundation, Inc. has been to provide charitable and educational aid in the form of financial resources and other property and services to the Florida Association of Community Colleges. Some of these have included:

• The purchase of property for the construction of the first permanent home for FACC in Tallahassee
• Coordinating fundraising events with the involvement of FACC chapters, regions, and commissions for the construction of the first FACC building
• Providing resources for the renovations of the recently purchased Florida Medical Association building
• Providing resources and support to colleges which suffered losses during hurricane events
• Sponsoring the 21st Century Summit-a statewide initiative conducted by legislators and college members about Florida’s present and future

Your FACC Foundation will begin to embark upon its other objectives and goals which will include the following:

• To promote education and other related activities for students, faculty, staff and others related to the Florida Association of Community Colleges
• To encourage professional development, learning and dissemination of information through activities of the Florida Association of Community Colleges
• To support such purposes as educational scholarships, awards, recognitions and benevolent and bereavement acknowledgements
